The performance will showcase solo and chamber music of Maurice Ravel and display the virtuosity of Tchaikovsky Competition prizewinner, violinist Eric Silberger; principal harp player of the New World Symphony, Phoebe Powell; acclaimed pianist Adolfo Vidal and other musicians from the New World Symphony.
The Evening WITH Ravel is celebrated with four well-known works: Violin Sonata, Sonatine for piano solo, Tzigane (accompanied by harp), and the Introduction et Allegro for harp. Ravel 'himself' impersonated by a world-class actor, will lead the evening and speak about his life, orchestration, bringing to life the emotional moments of some of these compositions after dealing with biased treatment at the Paris Conservatory. An event not to be missed!
